David got his first taste for acting in his high school production of “A Raisin in the Sun” as “Walter Lee". He rediscovered his love for acting in 2008 Life LIVE Productions stage play "I Need A Breakthrough" and has been acting consistently since. David has appeared in several stage productions including, "Chasing Dogs, Immaculate Conception and Grounds for Divorce" at the Black Ensemble Theater and Roomies, Roomies II at Stage 773 Chicago. In 2014, David started his film career in the MannaVision Production Short film titled "A Dog Returns To Vomit" written and directed by Rico Radcliffe and has appeared in several Award Winning Short Films. He played Detective Macklin in the short film "Consequences" a film about Bullying, written and directed by LaRita Smith which won the Indie Spirit Award at the Windy City International Film Fest 2017. In 2018, David was part of an ensemble cast in "Bobby" is a short film about a 40 year old black suffering from the early stages of dementia . . written, directed and produced by Cortez Mack for Jkbu Productions, Inc./Prov10:22 films. with 33 Film festival selections and 5x Film Festival Winner! March 2021 David took a shot at Directing and Producing his first short film "Splitting Image" a inspirational father and son story written by his good friend Cortez Mack. Splitting Image has received to date 10 Official Film Festivals Selections and won The Jury Special Award at the Europe Film Festival. David received the Best Director Award. March 2021, David made his first Television Network appearance on NBC top-rated show in Chicago PD. Philippians 4:13 KJV
